I love me some ambient dub. I also love ambient tunes that remind me of the sea. Over the years I've made 7 dub style mixes & 6 sea themed mixes. This new mix combines those two obsessions.
There's now much else to say about all the music here. other than I think all the tunes flow nicely & work well within this theme.
Enjoy

Nice one. I'm still listening to Dubby & Rainy a lot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon, I was listening to this while posting it and I realized that it is fairly similar to dubby & rainy but when you've got tons of good dubby ambient to use, it doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteThey both have Shaded Explorer's "Sea Mist" - it stands out, it's a lovely track.
ReplyDeleteOops, I didn't realize that I had used that same track in the other mix. I try not to repeat tracks but sometimes a good track just fits or is too good to pass up. Thaks for listening.
ReplyDeleteThere is similarity to "Breathe" in that the selected dub again has effects that accent the matte backdrop. Kudos on your selection of dub pieces.
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, Dave. Love the thoughtful intelligence behind this quiet mix. Especially good for yogic exercise and contemplative breathing. Thank you - sending good thoughts!
ReplyDelete!!!!!
ReplyDeletegenius, como siempre
(my inner ear would love to hear a beatless accompaniment for even quieter, stiller moments!)
More like this please :)
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Thanks for all your very kind comments. I really appreciate the feedback even if I can sometimes forget about the blog compared to the Mixcloud page.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the comments mentioning breathing, this definitely has that ebb & flow kind of effect, just like my breathing mixes.
