APRICITY: the warmth of sunshine in winter

Apricity(a-PRIS-i-tee)(n.) - The warmth of the sun in winter.

I stumbled upon this word while doom-scrolling Threads or Instagram last week. I like the idea that there is a word that describes that feeling of soaking of the limited rays of the sun on a winter day. I had already started a straightforward ambient mix and this word just seemed to fit the vibe.

All the tracks in this mix are new, with most being from 2024. There's not much else to say other than find a cozy spot near a window and let some sunshine warm you up.

Cheers!

  2. I have been looking for just such a vibe as this mix brings for a while now. Thank you so much for making this one. Also, thanks for still keeping your blog and links up! I truly appreciate it, the fact that even after so much upheaval on social media and wEB 3!! the blog remains exactly as I'd found it the first time, back in 2012. It's a treasure, thank you for keeping it. I hope it'll be here for a very long time.
