First up is an album that I somehow missed last year from Lunar Testing Lab. It's called "Signalling the Stars" and it's excellent! Space music with some beats, throw in some fx and nasa type transmissions and you've got an wonderful album.

Next we have another great recording from Tonepoet - N/E/W/S. The main instrument here is guitar which is great because I love ambient guitar. But it's not just guitar, more instrumentation and arrangements are used. The Tonepoet albums have really progressed over the years and this one could be my favorite.

Finally I've been playing a couple releases from labels run by Harry Towell. On Audio Gourmet comes a "name your price" recording by Polaroid Notes called "Days of Our Lives." These are beautiful pieces of piano with atmospherics. They drift and float and are perfect.

And on Whitelabrecs we have "The 4th" by Steve Pacheco. This album has a little more of a drone feel than the other ones in this post. There are beautiful, delicate drones that are accompanied by occasional piano and processed kalimba, xylophone or other acoustic sources. It's a beautiful, hypnotics recording.

Check out these fine releases when you get a a chance.
Cheers!
